Matthew S. Haas

Matthew Steven Haas, 30, Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016. He was born in Indianapolis on July 4, 1985 to David and Julie Maestri Haas. Matthew was a 2004 graduate of Perry Meridian High School where he was a member of the wrestling team. He taught motorcycle and small engine repair at Central Nine Career Center and Ivy Tech. He had previously worked for Dreyer Honda West and South where he was a service manager. He is survived by his wife, Shannon Garrod Haas; parents, David and Julie Haas; siblings, David Jr., Tammi and Terri. Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 125 N. Oriental St., Indianapolis, IN 46202. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to donor's favorite animal shelter or pit bull rescue.
