C. Joseph Curry

C. Joseph Curry, aged 72, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and pastor on June 10, 2019.

Joe graduated from Marian College (now University.) He married his wife, Caroline “Carrie” on June 7, 1969. Joe spent many years in a career in food management before becoming a registered nurse, specializing in cardiac care. He retired after approximately 20 years in that field.

Joe and his wife raised three beautiful children together, their greatest accomplishment. He was a faithful member of St. Roch Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline (Brunson) Curry; two daughters, Christina Mathis, and Anne Coleman; one son, Donald Curry; his sister, Judy Hufford and her husband Art; five grandchildren, Marlie Washer, Aden Coleman, Louise, Heidi, and Damien Curry; two great grandchildren, Natalie and Calvin Washer; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Joe was predeceased by his parents, Chester and Peggy Curry; his brother, Rev. Samuel Curry; and a beautiful granddaughter, Aurora Coleman.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Joe Curry from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019, at St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 S. Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at the church. Immediately following Mass, all are invited for a meal and fellowship at St. Roch Parish Center. Burial will follow the meal, at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, 3001 E. 30th Street, Indianapolis; envelopes will be provided.
