Obituary for Timothy B. Shotts

Timothy B. Shotts, 64, Indianapolis, passed away suddenly March 19, 2017, while remodeling a home. Tim was born in Indianapolis on October 30, 1952, to Meredith and Jean (Talkington) Shotts, who survive.

He graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in architectural drafting. Tim went on to work for Wright Bachman for 20 years and then opened his own custom home remodeling business, Shotts Construction Services in 1990. After more than 40 years in the construction business, Tim died doing what he loved.

Survivors include his children, Bryan (Amanda) Shotts and Amanda (Mike) Grimm; grandchildren, Gwen, Victoria, Jensen, and Baby Grimm (due in May); parents, Meredith and Jean Shotts; siblings, Mike (Pauline) Shotts, Carol (Bob) Farnsworth, Jim (Karen) Shotts, and Mary Shotts; many nieces and nephews; and his "favorite ex-wife", Susan Shotts.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017, 5 to 8 p.m., in the Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street (US Hwy. 31 South), where morning prayers will be said on Friday, March 24, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m., Friday, in St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 S. Pennsylvania Street. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Greenwood. Visit to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.
