Steven W. Comley

Steven W. Comley, 66, Indianapolis, passed away August 1, 2017. Steve was born October 6, 1950, in Beech Grove, to the late William G. and Rosemund Marie (Huck) Comley.

Steve graduated from Kennedy Memorial High School (formerly Sacred Heart) and attended IUPUI. He worked for Eli Lilly & Co. for 39 years, retiring in 2008. Following retirement, he worked for Dow Chemical for 5 years. Steve was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 3660. One to always stay active, Steve was an avid golfer and also enjoyed playing pool, rollerblading and playing hockey. Steve was a loyal Cubs and Colts fan. Above all, he was a family man who will be fondly remembered by his loved ones and many friends.

Survivors include his wife and soul mate, Debbie (May) Comley; children, Rev. Andrew (Michelle) Comley, Steven Comley, Jr., and Rosemund (Juan) Ramirez; siblings, Linda (Mike) Glenn, Joyce (Dennis) Adcock, and David (Denise) Comley; grandchildren, Mary Alice, Elijah William, Brucie, and Lucas; a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 6, 2017, 2 to 6 p.m., in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, where morning prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m., Monday, August 7, 2017. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, in St. Roch Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
