Judith K. Cunningham

Judith K. “Judy” Cunningham passed away peacefully in the Lord on February 9, 2018. She was born on February 15, 1942 to the late Otto and Ethel Walters in Chicago, IL.

Infused with a strong work-ethic, Judy retired from Indiana Bell/Ameritech/AT&T in 2004 as a Senior Project Manager. She was then employed part-time at both SS Peter and Paul Cathedral and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where she spent many wonderful hours in ministry. A good friend to many, Judy sought to serve God and to serve others by dedicating her life to helping to organize activities and to extend hospitality in her communities. Additionally, her compassion and care were shown beautifully to the many dogs that served as her companions throughout her life.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and one great-grandchild, Austin Charles Maxwell.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Deana Kohen (Joel), four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11 am at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral, 1347 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46202, with visitation immediately before the funeral at the church beginning at 10 am. Interment at Calvary Cemetery will take place immediately following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral, to Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary, 2500 Cold Spring Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46222 or to Indianapolis Animal Care and Control, 2600 S. Harding, Indianapolis, IN 46221.
